This number crunching experiment
was done in February 2006. It's
an example on how convenient, affordable, and
competitive flying out of the Dickinson Airport
is as compared to Bismarck and other airports.
The ticket figures were averaged between 3 of
the biggest online ticket reservation services
(Travelocity,
Orbitz,
and Expedia)
as well as United
Airlines and Great Lakes Airlines. The quotes were made in accordance
with a 30-day advance purchase option and included
a return flight. Note that these prices might
change and the Dickinson Airport does not guarantee
these prices. However, please take a minute to
look at the numbers we found on this day, it may
surprise you!

At first glance, it appears that Bismarck is cheaper
to fly out of, but we still have to factor in
getting to Bismarck from Dickinson! Driving to
Bismarck in your vehicle and parking it there
for 2 days will cost you $20.56, including the wear & tear, insurance, and
maintenance costs on your vehicle.
In the end, flying out of Dickinson would have saved you $25.96. The facts are:
- Dickinson CAN save you MONEY!
- Dickinson CAN save you TIME!
- EMB-120 Aircraft equipped
with an onboard lavatory & also flies with
a flight attendant.
- You can reach any destination
in the world from convenient connections through
Denver.
- Less lines, less waiting,
less hassle!
- Security screening checks
are quicker, but just as thorough.
We did the number crunching for
you, just to give you an idea. We hope you can
see that Dickinson is just as affordable while
at the same time, providing even better on-time
service and convenience for your travel needs! |
